Overview

RTL Fixer for AI ("the Extension") is a Chrome browser extension developed by Saif Damra. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

Information We Collect

The Extension collects the following information only if you voluntarily provide it during the optional registration step shown on first install:

• Name — your first or full name
• Email address — used for product updates only
• Timestamp — the date/time of registration
• Extension version — to track which version you installed

Registration is entirely optional. The extension works fully without providing any information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not read, store, or transmit any text you type or receive on AI platforms
• We do not collect your browsing history
• We do not collect financial or payment information
• We do not track your location
• We do not use analytics or tracking scripts

How the Extension Works

The Extension injects a small script into supported AI chat platforms (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) that:

• Scans visible text elements on the page for Arabic, Hebrew, or Persian characters
• Applies CSS direction attributes to fix text alignment
• Does not send any of this content to external servers

All processing happens entirely locally in your browser.

How We Use Your Data

If you choose to register, your name and email are used solely to:

• Count the number of users (analytics)
• Send occasional product updates or new feature announcements

We will never use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to the Extension.

Data Storage

Your registration data is stored in:

• Your browser — via Chrome's chrome.storage.sync API (local to your device)
• Google Sheets — a private spreadsheet accessible only to the developer (Saif Damra)

Your data is never shared with or sold to third parties.

Permissions Explained

• storage — to save your on/off preference and registration data locally
• activeTab — to communicate between the popup and the active tab when toggling the extension
• Host permissions — to inject the direction-fixing script into supported AI websites only

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Use the Extension without registering (no data collected)
• Request deletion of your data by contacting us
• Uninstall the Extension at any time — this removes all locally stored data

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any significant changes will be communicated through the Extension's update notes on the Chrome Web Store.
